The postholder will be responsible for leading and managing CIIR’s programmes in Namibia, Zimbabwe, Somalia (Somaliland), Yemen and East Timor.
The successful applicant should have:
- Minimum 3 years of significant experience of programmes management and administration in the international development field
- Minimum 2 years experience of living and working in a developing country.

£31,814 pa, full-time, permanent contract, London

The postholder will be responsible for leading and managing CIIR’s programmes in Namibia, Zimbabwe, Somalia (Somaliland), Yemen and East Timor.

The successful applicant should have:

• Minimum 3 years of significant experience of programmes management and administration in the international development field

• Minimum 2 years experience of living and working in a developing country

• Experience of managing human resources, demonstrating the ability to set objectives and monitor and evaluate progress and outcomes
.
• Proven skills in leadership and management, with a strong finance and administrative background, including the ability to plan effectively at the organizational level and to set realistic goals

• Able to make decisions, take the initiative, originate action and be responsible for the decisions made

• Excellent communication, representational and negotiation skills with the ability to manage and motivate a culturally diverse professional staff

• Commitment to and sympathy with CIIR purpose vision and values

• Good judgement and ability to take decisions or work within complex and challenging political environments

• Excellent oral and written English

• The willingness to undertake frequently travel overseas
