  • The political exorcism of southern Africa: Hope for democratisation of the continent

James Muhindo | Popular Participation & Democratization
    02.03.2018

African leaders who fought for independence soon departed from their initial objectives before African people could see the benefits of independence. Even though leaders who came after independence were also far from what African people needed, there is hope that current changes in southern Africa can inspire the entire continent.

  • Uganda: Why state should not amend Article 26 of the Constitution

James Muhindo | Popular Participation & Democratization
    27.07.2017

  • Government's proposed land law amendments are unjust

James Muhindo | Land & Environment

  • Uganda: Oil and gas was tie breaker at presidential debate

James Muhindo | Land & Environment
    03.02.2016

Uganda’s oil and gas are at the heart of campaigns for presidential elections taking place this month. Ugandans need to keep an eye on these resources and demand answers on how they will be used to better their lives.

  • Ugandan politicians ought to focus attention on national issues

    James Muhindo | Governance
    17.09.2015

Uganda is heading to presidential elections in March. The country seems to have hardly matured as its politicians are pre-occupied with their own interest and not that of the country and its people. Whether President Museveni retains power next year or the opposition unseats him, there is no hope that this state of affairs will change for the better.
