ABGREMO HOLDS INTERNATIONAL
CHILDREN’S MANAGEMENT ART & POETRY COMPETITION TO MARK “EARTH DAY 2005”

Akpabuyo Bakkasi Green Movement (ABGREMO) a youth base NGO working for the protection of the last remaining mangrove of Nigeria and the Human Rights of the coastal communities through education and action programme, is organizing International Children Mangrove & Poetry Competition for children between age 5 – 15 years as part of our activities to mark “Earth Day 2005”.

Earth Day is a day set aside by earth/environmental activists the world over to reflect on the significance of the earth resources to Humanity, threats to the earth as a result of Human interaction and possible interventions strategies that can be adopted for the sustainable management of the earth resources for the survival of Humanity.

Earth day is celebrated on April 22 of every year. For environmentalists, it is a special day to remember Earth’s tender seedlings of life and people.

ABGREMO in celebrating Earth Day 2005, is proud to organize children Art & Poetry Competition to appreciate the creative purity of young minds. The best three(3) art works will be forwarded to USA to contest with other Art works from other parts of the world. School Heads are encourage to forward names of two pupils to ABGREMO Information desk or call the below numbers. The competition is schedule as follows;
